Who we’re looking for: We have an exciting Title Clerk opportunity for an experienced, outgoing, detail-oriented, and highly organized multi-tasker who is driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you have a knack for people skills, numbers, and can maintain a high level of confidentiality, this role is for you! A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player are essential to this position!

This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

  • Verify data, complete state forms, make disbursements for taxes and fees, and submit to the state
  • Process new car and pre-owned registrations on Dealer’s software system
  • Process pre-owned vehicle title transfers
  • Prepare and distribute title envelopes
  • Maintain follow-up on all incoming titles
  • Maintain and reconcile schedules for tax, title, and license payables and lien payoffs
  • Identify internal control issues by reviewing existing policies, verify changes in authorized personnel, and communicate issues to the Office Manager or Assistant Controller
  • Maintain error logs
  • Verify Finance and Insurance (F&I) data to documents
  • Reconcile schedules as assigned on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Verify F&I logs to accounting data before month-end
  • Exude strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Attend department meetings and company training when necessary
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, & Values in all interactions with customers & co-workers, inside and outside of the office
  • Maintain a clean, pressed, approachable appearance and demeanor, and a neat work area
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, honesty, and integrity while performing all job duties
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct

QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • At least five (5) years of previous experience doing title work
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license (you must be insurable)
  • Must maintain a clean, acceptable, and safe driving record
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements, which include a social media check, a drug screen & physical, a background check, and a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Be able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
