Automotive Service Technician

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused and highly driven Automotive Service Technician. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing guest and dealership vehicles while maintaining a positive relationship with dealership associates and guests alike.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

  • Examine vehicles, diagnose, and if needed, discuss with the Shop Foreman or Service Advisor as to the nature and extent of damage or malfunction
  • Communicate additional service requests and recommended services to the Service Advisor
  • Provide accurate labor time estimates on each job to Service Advisor
  • Monitor repair times and update Service Advisor in order to keep guests abreast of everything going on with their vehicle
  • Understand and properly utilize all dealership computer systems, tools, computer programs, etc.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards
  • Keep up with dealership and manufacturer training and certifications
  • Keep current with recalls and bulletins
  • Be able to follow proper protocol for diagnosing and repairing all vehicles
  • Be able to dictate and properly document all critical information into Repair Orders, notes, etc.
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as disposal of hazardous waste, etc.
  • Attend department meetings as needed
  • Maintain a professional appearance and neat work area
  • Exude a strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
  • Maintain honesty and integrity while performing all job duties
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct

QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license (you must be insurable).
  • Must maintain a clean, acceptable, and safe driving record.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements which include a social media check, a drug screen & physical, a background check, and a Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Be able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language.
