What You'll Do:

  • Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing, tenured sales team to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Assist salespeople with closing customers, whether in-store or via email, text, or phone.
  • Conduct daily sales meetings with the sales team and other sales managers.
  • Hold daily one-on-one sessions with the sales team to review unsold prospects and potential buyers from our CRM and other databases.
  • Review the previous day's trade appraisals to ensure deals weren’t missed due to inaccurate evaluations.
  • Monitor RouteOne to confirm that all credit applicants have been contacted and submitted to lenders.
  • Perform multiple inventory walks throughout the week to verify that new and used vehicles are in their proper location and free of any issues.
  • Assist with inventory acquisitions while helping manage aged inventory.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive new car sales and increase market share in the Baton Rouge market and in the state of Louisiana.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and sales associates to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • Collaborate with dealership leadership to enhance sales processes and customer engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with Toyota products, promotions, and industry trends.

  • Proven experience in automotive sales management, preferably in a high-volume dealership.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills to develop a successful sales team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and implement effective strategies.
  • Ability to work alongside and with all personality types.
  • Someone willing to lead by example and not by words alone.

Qualifications, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • A valid, unrestricted driver's license (you must be insurable)
  • Maintain a clean, acceptable, safe driving record
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements which include a drug screen, a background check and a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Be able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
