BDC Service Appointment Coordinator – Automotive

Earn a great living doing what you love and join our dealership family as BDC Service Appointment Coordinator.  In this role, you will manage and execute BDC customer communications (email and telephone) in a manner that aligns with our dealership’s highest standards. The Service Appointment Coordinator receives all incoming service calls, establishes relationships with guests, and schedules appointments for the Service Department BDC. This position requires an outgoing personality with a high interest in assisting our guests. You are expected to uphold the Lexus standard by presenting yourself with courtesy and a professional image.

This ia a full-time position requiring a 5-day work week, including some Saturdays and evenings.  Starting pay is $14/hour with an opportunity to increase to $15/hour within the first 90 days for an exceptional candidate.  Serious inquiries only please.

Job Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Ask the guest questions to uncover needs and direct all calls appropriately
  • Ensure that Service Consultants receive messages promptly
  • Make service appointments if Service Consultants are unavailable and route appointment information to the appropriate Service Consultant
  • Provide reporting to dealership management
  • Collect an acceptable form of payment from the guest upon checkout, providing guests with the proper change (if applicable) and a receipt
  • Properly process and document charge purchases according to the policies established by the Controller
  • Close all internal repair orders promptly and route to Billing Clerk for processing
  • Assist guest in the Cafe and interact on an interpersonal level with every encounter. 
  • File accounting copies of repair orders and parts tickets and file hard copies of repair orders in customer service files
  • Maintain honesty and integrity while performing all job duties
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct

QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATES, and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license (you must be insurable)
  • Must maintain a clean, acceptable, and safe driving record
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements which include a social media check, a drug screen and physical, a background check, and a Motor Vehicle Report
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, add, subtract, divide and comprehend written and oral instructions and information in the English language
  • 6-12 months previous related work experience (preferred)
