Real Estate Analyst

We are unique investors with an assortment of real estate encompassing raw land, farmland, office buildings, warehouses, and multi-family properties seeking a detailed, organized, highly competent, enthusiastic, and result-oriented Real Estate Analyst to help manage and grow our diverse portfolio.

Our Real Estate Analyst will analyze commercial real estate (“CRE”) investments and support the oversight and management of CRE assets and new development projects. This position will report directly to the Owners and will support all aspects of our investments. Due to our small size and extreme hands-on approach, you will also be involved with many things outside the scope of an Analyst.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex financial modeling, analyze data, and develop financial reports for planning, forecasting, trending, and variance analysis.
  • Provide analysis for real estate development opportunities and support ongoing asset management throughout multiple markets.
  • Track the current financial progress of the existing assets against their forecasts, recommending adjustments and reporting variances.
  • Perform detailed due diligence, including market analysis and coordinating with third-party service providers, assessing, and reporting on market demand, potential demand, rate of growth, the competitiveness of comparable properties, and risks presented by new supply.
  • Assist in document reviews from application to final execution.
  • Review and monitor legal documents such as leases and lease modifications, management and leasing agreements, partnership agreements, loan documents, etc.
  • Work with Property Management and accounting to create annual budgets, analyze expenses, and make projections for future years, and communicate discrepancies.
  • Support the execution and closing of transactions involving various property types
  • Assist in the implementation of business plans, including leasing, financing, disposition, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
  • Generate financial analysis and Investment Committee materials detailing investment rationale, execution risks, and prospective returns.
  • Perform periodic property site inspections.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience
  • Prior professional accounting or finance experience in the field of real estate
  • Must have advanced Microsoft Excel Skills and skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions & information in the English language
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license (you must be insurable)
  • Must maintain a clean, acceptable, safe driving record
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements which include a drug screen, a background check, and a motor vehicle check
